Azzie Lee Montfort Flowers was born in Butler, Georgia on August 20, 1928 to the parents of Menzie Montfort and Lillian Drains Montfort. As life would unfold for little Azzie she would attend the public schools of Taylor County. As Azzie grew into young adulthood she grow into an industrial women who possessed many talents that would aid her throughout her life.
Azzie like many young people would yarn for love in her life she find that love in George “Doc” Flowers they would go on to start a family and pour their hearts into their children. Azzie joined in with the faithful believers at Friendship Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending the fellowship services with her husband along with their children. Azzie was focused on make her home the best she could with everything she had; As time would go on she would find herself rendering her domestic services in many private homes she was called upon to serve. Azzie was never afraid of hard work. When engaged in her daily activities she would find solace and peace in her flower garden she so desperately loved that was her happy place from long days of supply and demands that often called her name. Cooking was a deep passion she enjoyed but her greatest joy was seeing her family enjoy and get full off her delicious entrees she would craft. Nothing ever took the place of her Peach Snuff time it was her motivation to get work done no matter what the task was. Azzie was a lady with simple joys . It didn’t take much to please her. She loved joy rides out just looking at things, site seeing was what she love as her children & grandchildren drove her around.
Azzie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons Bufford Flowers, and Willie Flowers. Calvin Daniely she reared as her own.
Her remarkable life will be remember by her Her son Cephus (Katie) Montfort Warner Robins, Ga. Her daughter Earlene Flowers-Gouch of Butler, Ga. Stepson Rickey Gibson, Her brother Riley( Lula ) Montfort Griffin, Ga. Her daughter-in-law Debra Flowers Butler, Ga. 11 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grand Children, 3 Great Great Grand Children and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral on Saturday October 19, 2024 @ Taylor County Auditorium 24 Oak Street Butler, Georgia with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery.
