Bettie Lou Worn

Bettie Lou Worn was born in Midland, Alabama  to the parents of the late Jewel Brimalow Wright and the late Jay Wright. She grew up attended the public schools of the time. Bettie would grow into a productive woman who would go on to make a difference in the world. Bettie was career minded and was driven to do so. She worked years in the accounting department for Sears & Roebuck Company in credit collections and following such a successful tenure with them she did private secretarial services for several businesses.

She later met and married the late Thomas E. Worn, Sr. the love of her life. They would go on to live and build a wonderful life together and to this Union three beautiful children was born. Bettie possessed a beautiful spirit that would cultivate a splendid home life. She was a homemaker from her heart loving to cook and cater to family needs. She enjoyed testing out new recipes that was sure to bring smiles and laughter at dinner time as she engaged with her family. 

Bettie lived a wonderful and exciting life. Her pride and joy was her husband and children. One could always feel the admiration she had as she would discuss the accomplishments of her grandchildren. Family was her endearing heartbeat that motivated her to live. 

This radiant light grew dim as the years rolled by and maturity set in. Bettie slept quietly away on Sunday October 27, 2024 in the place she adored and called home.

Bettie has left an indelible print in all of the hearts of those that she touched in those memories will live on through her loving family: her sons Thomas E. (Maria) Worn, Jr. Reynolds, Ga. Keith (Denise) Worn Jonesboro, Ga. Daughter Teresa (Rodney) Crotts Laurenceville, Ga. Brother Jay Wrights, Sisters Bobbie Crooms, Annette Bean, 8 Grandchildren, 17, Great Grandchildren and a host cousins other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
