C. J. Jones, Jr.

C. J. Jones, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on August 1st, 2023, at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born on July 17th, 1973, in Reynolds, Georgia. C. J., known for his likable personality and outgoing nature, had a way of lighting up any room he entered.

From a young age, C. J. possessed a passion for sports and enjoyed the simple things in life. He attended Taylor County High School in Butler, Georgia, where he not only excelled academically but also made a mark on the basketball court. With his determination and hard work, C. J. impressed his teammates and coaches with his skills and sportsmanship.

But it was not just his athletic prowess that endeared him to others; it was his ability to form deep connections and effortlessly get along with everybody that made him truly special. C. J.'s infectious personality brought joy to those around him and made him a cherished friend to many.

Outside of the sports arena, C.J.'s positive energy was felt by everyone he encountered. His warm smile and genuine interest in others endeared him to all who knew him. Whether it was lending a helping hand or offering words of encouragement, C.J.'s presence brought comfort and reassurance to those lucky enough to cross his path.

C.J.'s passing leaves behind a void that will be felt deeply by his surviving family members and close friends. He is survived by his loving mother, father, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to the sadness that accompanies their loss, there is solace in reflecting upon the memories shared with C.J. His infectious laughter and zest for life will forever be etched in our hearts.

Today, we bid farewell to C.J., grateful for the time we had with him but aware of the immeasurable impact his life had on ours. As we celebrate his spirit, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives and carry it forward as a testament to his remarkable legacy.
