Mr. Jessie Billings, Jr. affectionately known as "J.J." and "Boss Man" was born to the parentage of the late Mrs. Ora L. Billings and the late Mr. Jessie Billings, Sr. on January 18, 1969 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was the fifth son of four siblings and was well loved by the family.
At an early age he joined The Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church in Atlanta, Georgia under the direction of the late Pastor Green with his mother and siblings.
Jessie attended Margaret Harris PTO School in Atlanta, Georgia, where he graduated. Shortly there after he was diagnosed with Autism by the age of three but this disability would not stop him from enjoying his life. He attended several schools for the Autistic during his lifetime that would teach him how to become functional in society. After his mother's health began to fail, he was accepted to the Wesley Glenn Ministries in Macon, Georgia, where he really began to flourish. The center was key in enhancing Jesse's skills such as working, grooming, and interpersonal just to name a few.
Jessie's interest were listening to all types of music, eating good food/cookies, and collecting money. He made us all happy to just watch him doing what he loved the most.
On Sunday, July 16th, 2023, our beloved "J.J." answered the call to take off his mortal body in exchange for an immortal body. Life will never be the same. He is survived by the following: his brothers Mr. Marty (Trinia) Carson, Mr. Harry (Kimlon) Carson, Mr. Calvin Billings, Mr, Melvin Billings, three uncles: Mr. Roy (Mattie) Mathis, Mr. Ray Mathis, Mr. Ronnie (Sandy) Mathis and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A special thanks to Wesley Glenn Ministries and Greg Jones for the special care they gave to our "J.J.".
