John Stephens Jr. was born in Butler Georgia on August 17, 1970 to the parents of Wylene Bailey Griffin and John Wiley Pope Stephens Sr. He grew up and attended the public schools of Taylor County Georgia. He graduated with the class of 1989. Upon finishing high school he set his sails for Atlanta Georgia where he made that his home. John came from a hard-working family that instilled in him good work ethics. John had several different job career paths throughout his life. He was currently working as a delivery driver for Walmart.
John was a quiet to himself individual who minded his own business. His love was his family. His greatest joy was work. If work was not involved John usually was not interested. He loved his electronics and when he wasn’t playing with his electronics he was yet on the job again at Uber. John would also find time to play his other favorite game the Georgia lottery.
John was proceeded in death by his loving mother Wylene Bailey Griffin, his oldest brother Eddie C. Griffin, His sister Jeanette Lewis, and brother Brad Stephens.
John had performed on the stage of life for many years and during those years he performed his best on June 23, 2024 the final curtain call was made and John exit the stage of life.
John leaves a beautiful family to cherish his life legacy. And they are his father John Wiley pope Stephens, brother Tony Jennifer Stephens, Devarus (lakeisha) Sheraten, Mary Ann Belote, Gloria Jean Towns, Earnesteen (Will) Butler, A host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, Other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
