A Time to be Born
Lorene was born November 18,1932, in Reynolds, Georgia to the late Liner Ingram and Bertha Ross Ingram. She was the ninth of the twelve children born into this family. Hers was a life of love, and genuine concern, especially for her extended family, friends, neighbors, and all she met along the way.
A Time to Learn & Work
Lorene received her elementary and secondary educational training in the Taylor County School System. She received her BS and MS Degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education, respectively, from Fort Valley State College. Lorene used her passion for teaching in Taylor, Macon, and Houston counties. Her teaching career spanned a period of 30 years, from 1956 to 1986, when she decided to retire. During these years, she received numerous certificates and awards acknowledging her many accomplishments.
A Time for Spiritual Growth
At an early age, Lorene joined Springfield Baptist Church following in the footsteps of her father. She served as treasurer and was choir member. She attended services regular until her her fail.
A Time to Transition
Lorene departed this life peacefully on Friday, March 21, 2025. She leaves to cherish her legacy one sister Cecilia (Arthur) Miller, one sister-in-law, Jean Ingram, Reynolds, Georgia; seven neices, Sherenette Jackson of Fort Valley, Georgia, Doretha Rogers of Fort Mill, SC, Marilyn Gantt and Shirley Nicola of Warner Robins, Georgia, Cassandra ( Lucien) Tancil of Atlanta, Georgia, Bernadette (Isaac, lV) Seals of Decatur, Georgia and Bertha Mary (Sencion) Valdez of Miami Gardens, FL; seven nephews Roschell Jackson and Adrain (Carolyn) Ingram of Reynolds, Georgia, Jerome (Piange) Jackson, of lLas Vegas, Donald Jackson and Frank (Charlene) Jackson, of Fort Valley, Georgia, Thomas (Bobbie) Daniels of Fayetteville, Georgia and Bernard (Kimberly) Ingram of Plano Texas, in addition to her parents, Five brothers: Spelman Ingram, Liner Ingram, Jr. Marvin Engram Gene Ingram and Charles Ingram five sisters: Lillian Ingram, Louise Batts, Jeanette Jackson, Letha Mae Daniel, and Lois Stubbs, and two nieces: Jacquelyn Batts Gouch, and Marva Jean Daniel White preceded her in death
