Martha Troutman Ethridge affectionately known as Martha Jo from Reynolds. She knew that if she heard “ Martha Jo” she knew they were from home. To know her was to truly love her! Martha was a true solider and a lover of the lord. Anytime you came to her with a situation or a heavy heart, she listen intently and left you with a little bit of God.
Martha truly loved and lived life. Martha was born in Reynolds, Ga. at home on a Thursday November 17, 1955 to the parentage of the late Willie Joe & Annie Lou Turner Troutman. Martha was educated in the Taylor County School District.
She had a love for sewing with her sewing sister, Annette Dugger. She worked many of her younger years picking peaches and the packing shed, sewing factory. Martha in her later years moved to Macon, Ga. where she joined the healthcare industry as a manager at ARC, working with developmental disabilities and later she did private sitting. She created some awesome bonds with beautiful families.
Martha continued her faith and belief in God, for she knew it was her eternal life line for eternal life by connecting with the faithful believers at Pentecostal Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith. She served out her faith and conviction as a true woman of God.
Martha had three beautiful souls she adored her daughter Tamika Troutman (Chansler Brown, Sr. Brentice L. Ethridge who preceded her in death and Cameron Jacoby Ethridge,
Martha fought her last battle when she departed this life on December 26, 2024 at Atrium Navicent Health surrounded by her loving family & friends she transitioned from this earth to her heavenly father at the young age of 69.

She leaves behind many family members and friends that will cherish her memory. Sisters Noreatha Troutman, Thomaston Ga. Helen Harp Reynolds, Ga. Children Tamika Troutman, Cameron Ethridge both of Macon, Ga. Aunt & Uncle Mary Nell & Jody Dugger, Roberta, Ga. her loving grandchildren Chansler Brown (Hannah) , Ja’da Brown, Brandon Davis, Nandi Mbambo, Qiniso Mbambo, Great Grandchildren Trace Brown, Javian Brown, Tristan Brown, and all her nieces, nephews, Great nieces, nephews & Great-Great were all special to her and many had a special bond with her. Martha was mother figure to many, her special heart daughters Bre Chester, Crystal Davis, Vonteaic Anderson, a nephew whom she regarded as her son Nathanel Rainey, Jr. Dekendrick Thomas, Kahlico Francis, Tavares Davis, Close friends she regarded as a sister Beverly A. Foster & Angela Brice. Martha was loved by many which are too numerous to name many thanks to Brenda & Nathaniel Rainey for always being there in so many ways. Her neices: Judy Davis, Angela Prater, Nichole Howard for all their help during this time. To her sister Noreatha for coming to help see about her baby sister and to all family members who has cared and shown unlimited support to Martha in anyway will never be forgotten.
